College Football America Yearbook editor Matthew Postins took some time from working on the 2020 Yearbook to talk with Miller and Condon, a sports radio show on KXNO radio in Des Moines, Iowa, on Thursday.
Postins also serves as a writer for HeartlandCollegeSports.com, which is an independent Big 12 site that covers the entire conference, with an emphasis on football, basketball and baseball.
Postins, who has served as the editor for the College Football America Yearbook since its inception.
Postins appeared as the last guest in the second hour of Miller and Condon’s show on June 11 to talk about Big 12 football, including Iowa State’s chances of crashing the party in the Big 12 in 2020, and updates on Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger and Baylor quarterback Charlie Brewer.
Then, Postins helped the hosts break down the punishments handed down to Oklahoma State basketball and how that could impact Kansas basketball, which is accused of four more Level 1 NCAA violations than Oklahoma State’s one.
Then, Miller, Condon and Postins talk about the 2020 Yearbook, which is in the final editing stages now. They talked about how the staff is trying to put together a thorough book in this COVID-19 world and about this year’s cover boy, North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance.
The College Football America 2020 Yearbook will feature more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. It will includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It will also include updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFAY staff. The staff anticipates a late June or early July release to e-commerce sites like Amazon.com and BarnesAndNoble.com.
The staff is working overtime to make sure the book is as up-to-date as possible, especially given this year’s circumstances.
