So what did we do on this day in College Football America Yearbook history?

2013: Minnesota (FBS) at Northwestern (FBS)

Our College Football America Yearbook editor Matthew Postins hopped on a flight Saturday morning for the Chicagoland area to take in two Big Ten games in one day. First, after landing, he headed over to Evanston, Illinois, to see the Northwestern Wildcats host the Minnesota Golden Gophers at Ryan Field. We’d like to think that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was there, somewhere, watching this game in person.

2013: Wisconsin (FBS) at Illinois (FBS)

Our College Football America Yearbook editor Matthew Postins then got in the car, drove though Chicago and got down to Champaign, Illinois, to see the nightcap, which featured the Wisconsin Badgers paying a visit to the Illinois Fighting Illini on a chilly fall evening. The best part of this one was the student section, isolated in the north end zone, rocking and rolling all night long, even as the Badgers won.

2013: Iowa State (FBS) at Baylor (FBS)

Our College Football America Yearbook publisher Kendall Webb took a trip from his home in Tennessee down to Waco, Texas, to see the Baylor Bears host the Iowa State Cyclones in a Big 12 contest. The game was a big one for us. Why? A photo from this game was featured on the cover of the 2014 yearbook.

2019: Temple (FBS) at SMU (FBS)

Our College Football America Yearbook director of editorial content Chuck Cox took advantage of some great sunny weather in Dallas in October to see the SMU Mustangs host the Temple Owls in American Athletic Conference action. SMU won the game and, at the time, the Mustangs were undefeated and gathering national attention.
