Cincinnati QB Desmond Ridder leads College Football America Yearbook’s 2021 Group of 5 Preseason Starting Lineup

Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder leads the 2021 College Football America Yearbook Group of 5 Preseason Starting Lineup, CFA’s version of a Group of 5 conferences All-America Team.

Ridder led the Bearcats to the American Athletic Conference title and a berth in the Peach Bowl in 2020, where it lost to Georgia. The Bearcats enter the 2021 season considered one of the best Group of 5 teams in the country, and one capable of crashing the College Football Playoff party.

The senior from Cincinnati threw for 2,296 yards with 19 touchdowns and six interceptions, along with 592 yards and 12 TDs on the ground.

Another Bearcat, senior defensive lineman Myjai Sanders, also made the team.

Other Group of 5 selections included UTSA running back Sincere McCormick, Memphis wide receiver Calvin Austin III, Ball State offensive lineman Curtis Blackwell, San Jose State defensive lineman Cade Hall, Troy linebacker Carlton Martial and Coastal Carolina defensive back D’Jordan Strong.

The FBS section of the 2021 College Football America Yearbook features 89 pages of content including:
