Dickinson State Blue Hawks Featured in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook

Dickinson State Blue Hawks center Matt Dey is part of the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s NAIA Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.

Just as importantly, the Blue Hawks are No. 10 in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s NAIA Preseason Top 30. The Blue Hawks are the highest-ranking North Star Athletic Association program in the CFA preseason Top 30.

Dey, a senior from Sidney, Montana, returns after the Blue Hawks went 9-1 overall and 9-0 in the NSAA in the 2020 season. The Blue Hawks played all of their regular-season games in the fall, and then fell in the first round of the playoffs to eventual national finalist Northwestern (IA).

Dey was named an NAIA Second Team All-American for the 2020 season.

The Blue Hawks open the 2021 football season against Black Hills State on Sept. 2, a game that will take place in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Blue Hawks open conference play on Sept. 18 at Mayville State.
