The Concordia (MI) Cardinals are No. 5 in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s NAIA Preseason Top 30.
The Cardinals are the highest-ranked Mid-States Football Association program in the CFA preseason Top 30. The Cardinals play in the Mideast League of the MSFA.
The Cardinals went 6-1 overall and 4-0 in MSFA Mideast League play in 2020, winning the league title. The Cardinals played in the spring, like the rest of the league. The Cardinals reached the playoffs and defeated Georgetown (KY) in the first round, 21-7. Then, in the second round, the Cardinals fell to eventual national champion Lindsey Wilson, 49-27.
Concordia (MI) played one of the best games in the MSFA Mideast League last season, facing Marian and winning, 16-14. The pair are likely to be serious contenders in the Mideast League once again in 2021.
The Cardinals will open the season on Sept. 11 at St. Ambrose. The following week, the Cardinals hope the home portion of their schedule against Roosevelt.
