The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are the FBS preseason No. 7 team and Irish safety Kyle Hamilton is on the FBS Dream Team in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook, released last month.
The College Football America Yearbook Top 30 is part of the Top 130, which ranks every team in FBS. The Fighting Irish come in at No. 7 after winning the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title and falling in the ACC title game to Clemson. The Irish played as member of the ACC for the 2020 season due to COVID-19. The Irish qualified for the College Football Playoff, but lost to Alabama in the semifinal. The Irish were 10-2 overall, 10-0 in the ACC.
The Dream Team is the Yearbook’s All-America Team. Put together like an 85-player FBS roster, Hamilton made the Starting Lineup. His teammate, offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson, also made the Starting Lineup.
The Dream Team also has a ‘Freshman’ class, listing 25 of the best recruits in the Class of 2021.
Finally, Hamilton and Patterson made the Yearbook’s Independent Preseason Starting Lineup, also featured in the Yearbook. Other Irish that made the team include running back Kyren Williams, tight end Michael Mayer, offensive lineman Michael Carmody, linebacker Drew White, kicker Jonathan Doerer and kick returner Chris Tyree.
The 2021 College Football America Yearbook features seven pages of independent content, including an overall preview of the independents, a spotlight piece on a stadium, the Independent Starting Lineup, all team schedules and a half-page devoted to each program with stadium photos.
The College Football America 2021 Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
The print edition is available online via Amazon.com and other major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.
