Notre Dame (OH) Falcons Featured Prominently in 2021 College Football America Yearbook

Notre Dame (OH) offensive lineman Brandon Nicholson is one of two Falcons on the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s Division II Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.

Just as importantly, the Falcons are No. 5 in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s Division II Preseason Top 30.

The Falcons played a shortened season in the spring, with the Mountain East Conference playing a two-division format. The Falcons went 5-0 overall, 4-0 in MEC play. The Falcons dominated the four games they played in the regular season by outscoring their opponents, 219-43. Form held in the conference championship game as the Falcons knocked off Charleston, 51-34, for its third consecutive league championship.

In 2019, the Falcons reached the national quarterfinals before losing to Slippery Rock.

Nicholson in 2019 earned Second-Team All-Super Region 1 honors and was named First-Team All-MEC. Guam Lee was the other Falcon to make the Starting Lineup. Lee also earned Second-Team All-Super Region 1 honors and was named First-Team All-MEC in 2019.

The Falcons open the season on Sept. 4 at home against Ashland, followed by the opening of MEC play against Wheeling on Sept. 9.
