Wheaton Thunder Featured in 2021 College Football America Yearbook

The Wheaton Thunder are No. 5 in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s Division III Preseason Top 30.

The Thunder did not play any games in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Wheaton is the defending College Conference of Illinois And Wisconsin champion after going 12-1 in 2019. The Thunder defeated Martin Luther and Central (IA) in the Division III playoffs before falling to Saint John’s, 34-33, in the quarterfinals.

Wheaton will open the 2021 season on Sept. 4 at home against Northwestern (MN). After a week off, the Thunder move into CCIW action with a Sept. 18 game against 2019 national champion North Central. Wheaton then plays its first road game of the season on Sept. 25 at North Park.

The Division III section of the College Football America 2021 Yearbook features 36 pages of content including:

  • National Division III preview;
  • Division III preseason Starting Lineup;
  • Update on each Division III conference;
  • Capsules for every Division III team, including 2020 results and 2021 schedules;
  • Fourteen color action, coach and stadium photos.

The College Football America 2021 Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
