The Bison went 7-3 overall, 5-2 in Missouri Valley Football Conference action under head coach Matt Entz. The Bison qualified for the playoffs, beating Eastern Washington, 42-20 in the first round. But, in the second round, the Bison fell to Sam Houston State, 24-20. The Bearcats went on to win the national championship. The loss snapped North Dakota State’s run of three straight national titles.
The Bison will be led by Volson, the former All-American and MVFC First-Team selection who anchors the offensive line for NDSU.
Also on the Starting Lineup is linebacker James Kaczor and returner Christian Watson.
The Bison open the season on Sept. 4 at home against Albany. The Bison then host Valparaiso on Sept. 11, followed by a road trip to Towson on Sept. 18. After a bye week, the Bison travel to North Dakota to open up conference play.
