South Dakota State Jackrabbits Featured in 2021 College Football America Yearbook

South Dakota State Jackrabbits running back Pierre Strong Jr. is on the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.

Additionally, the Jackrabbits are No. 2 in the 2021 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Top 30.

The Jackrabbits went 8-2 overall, 5-1 in Missouri Valley Football Conference action under head coach John Stiegelmeier. The Jackrabbits qualified for the playoffs, defeating Holy Cross, 31-3, Southern Illinois, 31-26, and Delaware, 33-3, to earn a berth in the national championship game. There, the Jackrabbits fell to Sam Houston State, 23-21.

The Jackrabbits will be led by Strong, who was a Walter Payton Award finalist and an All-American. He had 707 rushing yards in nine games and ranked third on the team with 20 receptions.

The Jackrabbits open the season at Colorado State on Sept. 3. The Jackrabbits then host Lindenwood on Sept. 11, followed by a bye week and the opening of conference play at Indiana State on Sept. 25.

The FCS section of the College Football America 2021 Yearbook features 28 pages of content including:

  • National FCS preview;
  • FCS preseason Starting Lineup;

  • Capsules for every FCS team, including 2020 results and 2021 schedules;
