The Hutchinson Blue Dragons are No. 1 in the NJCAA Football Poll Committee’s Preseason Top 15, released on Monday.
Hutchinson was also No. 1 in the College Football America Yearbook Juco Preseason Top 30, which is a ranking of the Top 30 teams in the National Junior College Athletic Association and the California Community College Athletic Association.
The Blue Dragons defeated Snow in the 2020 NJCAA National Championship game in May. They received all five first-place votes in the preseason poll.
Snow was No. 2, followed by Northwest Mississippi at No. 3, Iowa Western at No. 4, Garden City at No. 5, Kilgore College at No. 6, Mississippi Gulf Coast at No. 7, Trinity Valley at No. 8, Lackawanna at No. 9 and Independence at No. 10.
Iowa Central came in at No. 11, while Georgia Military was No. 12, Hinds was No. 13, New Mexico Military was No. 14 and Butler was No. 15.
The CFA Top 30 featured many of the teams in the NJCAA poll. Hutchinson was No. 1, Northwest Mississippi was No. 3, Snow was No. 4, East Mississippi was No. 7, Iowa Western was No. 9, Garden City was No. 10, Cisco was No. 12, Independence was No. 14, Kilgore was No. 16, Butler was No. 17, Lackawanna was No. 19, Hinds was No. 21, Georgia Military was No. 23 and Trinity Valley was No. 26. The rest of the spots were populated by CCCAA teams. The complete Top 30 is below.
