The Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Idaho Vandals, 56-14, on Sept. 11, as Chuck Cox of the College Football America Yearbook staff covered the game in Bloomington, Indiana.
Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.
Indiana handled Idaho by scoring 35 points in the first half and taking a 35-7 lead into the locker room. Because of that, starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. didn’t have to play the whole game, as he threw for just 68 yards and two touchdowns. His backup, Jack Tuttle, actually threw for more yards — 91 — along with a touchdown. Indiana back Stephen Carr rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown, while AJ Barner caught one pass for 76 yards, which went for a touchdown. Tiawan Mullen led the Hoosiers with nine tackles. Cam Jones had a sack.
It was tough sledding for the Vandals, but quarterback Mike Beaudry had 196 yards passing, along with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Hayden Hatten caught 10 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns. Tre Walker had a huge game with 16 tackles. Walker was on the College Football America Yearbook FCS Preseason Starting Lineup.
The College Football America 2021 Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
