NEO vs. Kilgore College

The Kilgore College Rangers defeated the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Golden Norsemen, 34-0, on Sept. 18, as Chuck of the College Football America Yearbook staff covered the game in Kilgore, Texas.

Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.

The Rangers (3-0) entered the game No. 3 in the country in the NJCAA Top 15, and the Rangers’ defense did not disappoint, as it held NEO (0-2) to 105 total yards of offense. The Rangers only had 175 yards of total offense. But their defense forced a turnover, and their special teams gave the offense good field position twice, so the Rangers could operate with a short field.

Kilgore faces New Mexico Military on Sept. 25. NEO hosts Navarro on Sept. 25. Oddly enough, Kilgore and Navarro will face each other in Kilgore, Texas, on Oct. 2.

The College Football America 2021 Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
