Colorado State’s Cayden Camper leads three kickers on the Lou Groza Award Honor Roll for Week 3 of the college football season.
The Groza Award is given to college football’s best placekicker.
Camper had five field goals in a 22-6 victory against Toledo. It was a career best for Camper, and that made him the first Ram to kick five field goals in a game since 2002. He scored from 47, 42, 31, 29, and 23 yards out. He also made his only extra point try of the day for a 16-point game.

A career day for Duke sophomore Charlie Ham helped the Blue Devils to a 30-23 defeat of Northwestern in Durham, N.C. on Saturday. He made three field goals to tie his high mark in a game and his 50 yarder is a career-long. The Atlanta, Ga. native also had makes of 23 and 27 yards. He added three PATs for a 12-point game. Ham has made four of five field goal attempts in the young season and is perfect on 13 extra point tries. He is second among all Duke players with 25 points.
ULM senior kicker Calum Sutherland scored all the points in the Warhawks’ 12-7 defeat of Jackson State in Monroe, La. on Saturday to give coach Terry Bowden his first victory with the program. Sutherland connected from 29, 42, 45, and a career-long 49 yards. The Keller, Texas native kicked four field goals in a game for the first time in his career and the first time for a ULM kicker since 2006. His season total on field goals improved to 5-for-7 and he has made his only extra point try this year. His 16 points lead all ULM players in scoring after two games.
