NJCAA Football Top 10: Jones Slides Up To No. 2

While the Snow Badgers remained No. 1, Jones moved up from No. 5 to No. 2 in the NJCAA Division I Football Poll, released on Oct. 4.

The Badgers remained undefeated, but like the week before, the Badgers only received four of the six first-place votes. Last week, Independence and Jones split the other two first-place votes. This week, despite both teams remaining undefeated, Jones received both first-place votes and moved up three spots from No. 5.

Independence dropped a spot to No. 3, while Iowa Western dropped one spot to No. 4 and Trinity Valley dropped one spot to No. 5.

The rest of the Top 15 included No. 6 East Mississippi, No. 7 New Mexico Military, No. 8 Coffeyville, No. 9 Mississippi Gulf Coast, No. 10 Iowa Central, No. 11 Lackawanna, No. 12 Monroe, No. 13 Hutchinson, No. 14 Coahoma and No. 15 Kilgore.

Northwest Mississippi, Hinds and Garden City received votes.
