The Houston Cougars defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 40-22, on Oct. 7, as Chuck Cox of the College Football America Yearbook staff covered the game in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.

Houston quarterback Clayton Tune threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Jeremy Singleton, who had three receptions for 62 yards in the game. With the win, Houston improved to 3-0 in the American Athletic Conference.

Alton McCaskill rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown for the Cougars, while Damarion Williams led the Cougars with nine tackles.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt had a solid game, throwing for 214 yards and a pair of touchdowns. But the Houston defense sacked him eight times. Logan Hall led the Cougars with two sacks. Derek Parish, David Anenih, Nelson Ceasar, Elijah Gooden, D’Anthony Jones and Latrell Bankston had one sack each for Houston.
