NJCAA Football Top 15: Jones Moves up to No. 1

While the Snow Badgers lost their first game of the season, Jones won and moved up to the No. 1 spot in the NJCAA Division I Football Poll, released on Oct. 11.

Jones was No. 2 the previous week, and it received five of the seven first-place votes in this week’s poll. The other two went to Iowa Western, which was the team that unseated Snow from the top spot, a spot the Badgers had held all season.

With the loss, Snow plummeted to No. 8.

The rest of the Top 15 included No. 3 Independence, No. 4 Trinity Valley, No. 5 East Mississippi, No. 6 New Mexico Military, No. 7 Coffeyville, No. 8 Snow, No. 9 Mississippi Gulf Coast, No. 10 Iowa Central, No. 11 Monroe, No. 12 Northwest Mississippi, No. 13 Hinds, No. 14 Garden City and No. 15 Coahoma.

Tyler, Butler, Lackawanna, Kilgore, Georgia Military, and Hutchinson received votes.
