NAIA Football Top 25: Lindsey Wilson Remains No. 1

The Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders remained in the No. 1 spot in the most recent NAIA Football FirstDown Playbook Top 25, released on Oct. 18. In addition, each of the Top 5 teams from last week’s rankings remained in the same place.

The Blue Raiders, the defending national champions, have been No. 1 in every poll this season, and this week’s poll featured the same Top 5 teams for the third straight week. Along with Lindsey Wilson, the poll featured  No. 2 Northwestern (IA), No. 3 Morningside, No. 4 Grand View and No. 5 Concordia (MI). Lindsey Wilson had 18 first-place votes, and Morningside had one.

The rest of the Top 10 included No. 6 Baker, No. 7 Kansas Wesleyan, No. 8 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 9 Ottawa (AZ) and No. 10 Reinhardt.

After the Top 10, the poll was No. 11 Marian, No. 12 Bethel (KS), No. 13 Keiser, No. 14 Faulkner, No. 15 Dordt, No. 16 Rocky Mountain, No. 17 Southwestern (KS), No. 18 Langston, No. 19 Olivet Nazarene, No. 20 Georgetown (KY), No. 21 Saint Xavier, No. 22 Montana Western, No. 23 Valley City State, No. 24 Bethel (TN) and No. 25 St. Thomas (FL).

College of Idaho fell out of the Top 25.

Also receiving votes were College of Idaho 29; Arizona Christian 6; Dickinson State (N.D.) 3; Culver-Stockton (Mo.) 3; Roosevelt (Ill.) 3
