NJCAA Football Top 15: Jones, Iowa Western Remain 1-2

The Jones Bobcats and the Iowa Western Reivers remained No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in the NJCAA Division I Football Poll, released on Oct. 18.

Jones moved into the No 1 spot last week, and it received five of the seven first-place votes in that week’s poll. The other two went to Iowa Western, which was the team that unseated Snow from the top spot in Week 6, a spot the Badgers had held in every poll to that point.

Nothing changed. Jones remained No. 1 and received five first-place votes, while Iowa Western received two first-place votes and remained No. 2.

The rest of the Top 15 included No. 3 East Mississippi, No. 4 Independence, No. 5 New Mexico Military, No. 6 Coffeyville, No. 7 Snow, No. 8 Trinity Valley, No. 9 Northwest Mississippi, No. 10 Iowa Central, No. 11 Monroe, No. 12 Hinds, No. 13 Mississippi Gulf Coast, No. 14 Garden City and No. 15 Blinn.

Georgia Military, Butler (KS), Coahoma, Lackawanna received votes.
