SMU Mustangs

The SMU Mustangs defeated the Tulane Green Wave, 55-26, on Oct. 21, as Chuck Cox of the College Football America Yearbook staff covered the game in Dallas, Texas.

Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.

SMU’s victory allowed the Mustangs to move to 7-0 on the season.

Mustangs quarterback threw for three touchdown passes, to add to his national-leading 29 touchdown passes for the season. He also threw for 427 yards and didn’t throw an interception. Tre Siggers rushed for two touchdowns. Tight end Grant Calcaterra caught seven passes for 90 yards. Delano Robinson led the Mustangs with eight tackles. SMU was up 31-7 at halftime.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt completed just 11 passes, but he threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns. Tyjae Spears rushed for 85 yards and a score, while Cameron Carroll rushed for another 80 yards. Duece Watts caught three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Nick Anderson led the Green Wave with 11 tackles.
