The Washburn Ichabods defeated the Central Oklahoma Bronchos, 29-17, on Oct. 23, as Matthew Postins of the College Football America Yearbook staff covered the game in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The Ichabods claimed the victory in the final minutes. Down 22-17 with 3:20 remaining, Ichabods return man James Letcher Jr. returned the kickoff 90 yards down the Washburn sideline for a touchdown, giving them the lead.
In the final seconds, the Ichabods turned the Broncos back and forced a fumble, which Braden Rose returned 75 yards for a touchdown.
For Washburn, Kellen Simoncic threw for 175 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Zach Willis scored the Ichabods’ only rushing score, while Letcher had five catches to lead them in receptions. Grant Bruner led Washburn with six tackles.
For Central Oklahoma, Keats Calhoon threw for 274 yards and a touchdown, while Jayce Gardner rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown. Markiese King led the Bronchos with six receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown. Michael Slater was one of five Bronchos with six tackles, but he also had one sack and two and a half tackles for loss.
