College Football AP Top 25: Georgia Holds Steady at No. 1

Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs remained the unquestioned No. 1 team in the country, as the AP Top 25 was released on Sunday after Week 12 of the FBS season.

There was plenty of shake-up below the Bulldogs, though:

Ohio State moved up from No. 5 to No. 2 after its incredibly impressive blowout win over Michigan State. As a result, Alabama and Cincinnati dropped a spot.

Three Big 12 teams — Oklahoma State, Baylor and Oklahoma — are all in the Top 10 entering Bedlam Week, with Oklahoma State already in the Big 12 Championship game.

Oregon and Michigan State dropped out of the Top 10 completely after their blowout losses.

After Georgia, the rest of the Top 10 included No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Alabama No. 4 Cincinnati, No. 5 Michigan, No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 8 Ole Miss, No. 9 Baylor and No. 10 Oklahoma.

The rest of the AP Top 25 included No. 11 Oregon, No. 12 Michigan State, No. 13 BYU, No. 14 Texas A&M, No. 15 UTSA, No. 16 Utah, No. 17 Iowa, No. 18 Wisconsin, No. 19 Houston, No. 20 Pitt, No. 21 Wake Forest, No. 22 San Diego State, No. 23 Louisiana, No. 24 NC State and No. 25 Arkansas.

Teams also receiving votes included Clemson 101, Mississippi State 44, Penn State 26, Appalachian State 24, Kentucky 10, Purdue 3.

The College Football America 2021 Yearbook  features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
