2021-22 College Football American FBS Coaching Carousel Tracker

The College Football America staff is keeping track of all of the coaching changes in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), with changes in 2021 that will be reflected for the 2022 season. Any time a change is made, the tracker below will be updated.

Below you’ll find our tracker, including the school, the coaching change, including the date of the change and interim coach that took over, if applicable. Next to that, you’ll find the new head coach, when hired, along with the hiring date.

As of Nov. 30, there were 23 coaching openings, with 12 positions already filled. The Brian Kelly hiring at LSU is now official which means the Notre Dame job is open. New Mexico State made the Jerry Kill hire official, too. And, Virginia Tech has its new head coach in Brent Pry. There’s also word that Sonny Cumbie will be the new head coach at LA Tech, but it’s not school official just yet.

The 2021 College Football America Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
