The North Central Cardinals will have the chance to defend their 2019 national championship, and the results of the quarterfinal round are complete. The Cardinals are still on a path toward a successful title defense with a 55-6 win over RPI.
The path to the Division II national championship game continues through the championship game, which will be held on Friday, Dec. 17, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
The 2020 postseason was canceled due to COVID-19. So Division III has not crowned a national champion since the Cardinals defeated UW-Whitewater in December of 2019.
