CFA Photo Gallery: Oklahoma Baptist vs. UT-Permian Basin

The Fun Town RV Heritage Bowl pitted Oklahoma Baptist against UT-Permian Basin at Tiger Stadium in Corsicana, Texas, giving both teams an extra game in the 2021 season.

Our College Football America Yearbookstaff member Chuck Cox was at the game and shot our gallery. Oklahoma Baptist won the game, defeating UT-Permian Basin, 24-21.

Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.

Quarterback Haire Preston led Oklahoma Baptist with 181 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception, while also rushing for 43 yards and a score. Tyler Stuever led the Bison with 150 yards rushing and a touchdown, while Josh Cornell led OBU in receiving with eight catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Clayton Roberts and Suddin Sapien shared quarterback duties for the Falcons, as Roberts threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, and Suddin threw for 119 yards and a score. While Kevin Young Jr. led the Falcons with 46 yards rushing, Jordan Smart, Marcus Molina and Matt Zubiate each caught a touchdown pass for UTPB. Smart had six catches for 138 yards, while Molina had seven catches for 97 yards.  

The College Football America 2021 Yearbook  features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
