CFA Photo Gallery: North Texas vs. Miami (OH)

The Frisco Football Classic pitted the North Texas Mean Green against the Miami (OH) Redhawks at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, giving both teams an opportunity to close out the 2021 season with a win.

Our College Football America Yearbookstaff member Chuck Cox was at the game and shot our gallery. Miami (OH) won the game, defeating North Texas, 27-14.

Cox’s photo gallery is on our Facebook page and photos of the game could end up in the 2022 edition of the Yearbook. The photos may also be used by the American Football Coaches Association for its web site, social media and publications.

Miami quarterback Brett Gabbert threw for 228 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Kenny Tracy rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown. Jack Sorenson caught seven passes for 116 yards, while Kevin Davis caught five passes for 24 yards and a touchdown. Nate Muersch caught the other touchdown passes. Ivan Pace Jr. led the Redhawks with nine tackles.  

North Texas quarterback Austin Aune threw for 228 yards and two interceptions. Aune also rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown. Isaiah Johnson rushed for the other touchdown for the Mean Green. Roderic Burns led the Mean Green with 87 receiving yards, while Damon Ward Jr. led the Mean Green with six receptions. KD Davis led the Mean Green with 14 tackles. Gabriel Murphy and Dion Novil each had 1 1/2 sacks.
