Stephen F. Austin wide receiver Xavier Gipson, who is coming off an All-America season for the Lumberjacks, will lead off the FCS section of the College Football America 2022 Yearbook, which will be out later this summer.
The College Football America 2022 Yearbook features Houston QB Clayton Tune on its cover. But Gipson will appear on Page 115 of the Yearbook, which kicks off the FCS preview section. The photo was taken by the CFA staff during the Lumberjacks’ game with Incarnate Word.
Gipson was a 2021 Associated Press All-American after putting together one of the best seasons by any receiver in FCS. Gipson caught 74 passes in 11 games, picking up 1,367 yards and scoring 14 touchdowns as the Lumberjacks made the FCS playoffs for the first time since 2014.
