Mary Hardin-Baylor, which won the national championship last December, is No. 1 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook Division III preseason Top 30.
The Crusaders went undefeated last season, beating North Central in the championship game. It was UMHB’s second national championship. The Crusaders won another title in 2018. The game also marked the final game of head coach Pete Fredenburg’s career. His long-time defensive coordinator, Larry Harmon, takes over this season.
The rest of the Top 10 includes No. 2 North Central, No. 3 Mount Union, No. 4 UW-Whitewater, No. 5 Muhlenberg, No. 6 Linfield, No. 7 Saint John’s, No. 8 Central, No. 9 Wheaton and No. 10 Hardin-Simmons.
The Division III section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook features more than 30 pages of content including:
