College Football America Releases Its Sun Belt Conference Rankings

Georgia Southern and Texas State

Louisiana, Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State are the front-runners in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook Preseason Sun Belt Rankings.

The Sun Belt rankings are based off the College Football America Yearbook’s overall Top 131 rankings, which ranks every team in FBS entering the season.

Louisiana is the defending Sun Belt champion and is breaking in a new head coach in Michael Desormeaux, who takes over for Billy Napier, who is now at Florida. The Ragin’ Cajuns won 13 games last season.

Coastal Carolina should be a factor in the Sun Belt race with quarterback Grayson McCall returning for the Chanticleers.

Appalachian State, likewise, returns its quarterback in Chase Brice, along with most of its starting offensive line.

The 2022 College Football America Yearbook features nine pages of Sun Belt content, including an overall preview of the conference race, a spotlight piece on a stadium, the Sun Belt Starting Lineup, all team schedules and a half-page devoted to each program. Houston quarterback Clayton Tune is on the cover.

The 2022 College Football America Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.

The print edition is available online via and other major retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million.
