The Southern Illinois Salukis are No. 10 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Top 30.

The Salukis went 8-5 last season and 5-3 in Missouri Valley Football Conference action. That was good enough to get them into the playoffs, where they won their playoff opener at South Dakota. But, the Salukis’ season ended with a second-round loss at eventual national champion North Dakota State.

The Salukis open the season on Sept. 3 at Incarnate Word, a program that also made the 2021 FCS playoffs. After that, the Salukis open the home portion of their schedule with a Sept. 10 showdown with Southeast Missouri. After a trip to Northwestern on Sept. 17, SIU opens MVFC action on Sept. 24 at home against North Dakota.

The FCS section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbookfeatures 30 pages of content including:
