The West Georgia Wolves are No. 10 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s Division II Preseason Top 30.
The Wolves went 9-3 in 2021, with a 5-2 record in Gulf South Conference action. The Wolves were in the Division II playoffs and beat Albany State, 23-7, in the first round, before falling to Valdosta State, 66-35, in the next round. West Georgia and Valdosta State are in the same conference.
The Wolves open the season at home against Carson-Newman on Sept. 1. After that, the Wolves get in their road opener on Sept. 10 against Morehouse. West Georgia then opens GSC action on Sept. 24 at West Alabama. The Wolves have to wait until Oct. 22 to get a rematch with Valdosta State, which will be a home game for West Georgia.
