Wheaton Thunder Featured in 2022 College Football America Yearbook

The Wheaton Thunder are No. 9 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s Division III Preseason Top 30.

Also, Thunder running back Giovanni Weeks is part of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s Division III Starting Lineup.

The Thunder are coming off a 2021 in which it went 10-1 overall and 8-1 in College Conference of Illinois And Wisconsin action. Wheaton beat Aurora in the first round of the Division III playoffs, but fell to Central in the second round, 30-28.

Last season Weeks was Second team All-Region, first team All-Conference, D3football.com Team of the Week member, set the single-season program record with 20 rushing touchdowns and ended the regular season with back-to-back four-touchdown games against Illinois Wesleyan and Millikin.

Wheaton will open the 2022 season on Sept. 10 at Trinity (TX). Then the Thunder move into CCIW action with a Sept. 17 home opener against Illinois Wesleyan.
