The Angelo State Rams are No. 5 in the College Football America Yearbook’s Division II Preseason Top 30.
The Rams are coming off a 2021 in which they went 11-3 overall and 5-2 in Lone Star Conference action. The Rams made the playoffs, beating Minnesota-Duluth and Nebraska-Kearney before running into Colorado Mines in the third round and losing, 34-26.
The Rams are playing a revamped LSC in 2022, as the league invited the three football-playing members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference to join the league as affiliate members.
The Rams open the season with a Sept. 1 home game against Chadron State. Then, on Sept. 10, the Rams head back to Colorado Mines for a rematch of last year’s playoff game. Angelo State then opens LSC action on Sept. 17 at UT-Permian Basin.
The Division II section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook features 24 pages of content including:
