A Bowie State football player is part of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s Division II Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.
Just as importantly, the Bulldogs are No. 6 in the 2022 Division II Preseason Top 30.
Bowie State went 12-2 overall and 7-0 in league action last season, as the Bulldogs reached the postseason. Bowie State beat Lenoir-Rhyne and Newberry in its first two playoff games before falling to Valdosta State, which went on to the national championship game.
Offensive lineman Quinton Bobo made the Starting Lineup. Bobo played 14 games last season and helped the Bulldogs amass nearly 5,000 yards of total offense.
The Bulldogs open the season on Sept. 3 with a home game against New Haven, followed by a Sept. 10 road trip to Saginaw Valley State. The Bulldogs open league play on Sept. 17 at Shaw.
