Missouri State Bears Featured in 2022 College Football America Yearbook

The Missouri State Bears are No. 6 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Top 30.

Two Bears are also on the FCS Preseason Starting Lineup.

The Bears went 8-4 overall last season, with a 6-2 record in Missouri Valley Football Conference action. The Bears went to the FCS playoffs, where they lost to UT Martin in the first round, 32-31.

Defensive back Montrae Braswell and punter Grant Burkett both earned a place on the Starting Lineup, which features 27 of the best players in FCS going into the season.

Missouri State opens the season on Sept. 1 at Central Arkansas, followed by a home opener and rematch with UT Martin on Sept. 8. After that, the Bears get a shot to test themselves against Arkansas on Sept. 17. Missouri State head coach Bobby Petrino used to be the head coach at Arkansas. 

The FCS section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook features 30 pages of content including:

  • National FCS preview and Preseason Top 30;
  • FCS preseason Starting Lineup;
  • Preview of each FCS conference;
  • Capsules for every FCS team, including 2021 results and 2022 schedules;
  • More than 20 color action, coach and stadium photos.

The 2022 College Football America Yearbook features more than 900 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 250 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
