The Muhlenberg Mules are No. 5 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s Division III Preseason Top 30.
The Mules are coming off a 2021 in which they went 11-2 for the season and 8-1 in Centennial Conference action. That allowed the Mules to reach the Division III postseason, where they beat Framingham State and Delaware Valley before falling to Mount Union in the national quarterfinals.
Again, the Mules were one of the best offensive teams in the country, led by quarterback Michael Hnatkowsky, who threw for 3,876 yards and 47 touchdowns.
Muhlenberg opens the 2022 season on the road in Belton, Texas, where it takes on defending national champion Mary Hardin-Baylor. After that, the Mules return home to host Dickinson in its Centennial Conference opener.
