Montana Grizzles Featured in 2022 College Football America Yearbook

Montana Grizzlies

The Montana Grizzlies are No. 4 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Top 30.

The Grizzlies were 10-3 overall in 2021, with a 6-2 record in Big Sky Conference action. In the playoffs, the Grizzlies beat Eastern Washington in their opening playoff game, but then lost to James Madison in the next round, 28-6.

Two Grizzlies are on the publication’s FCS preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.

Linebacker Patrick O’Connell and defensive back Justin Ford both made the 27-player team, which features some of the best players in FCS.

The Grizzlies open the season with two straight home games — Sept. 3 against Northwestern State and Sept. 10 against South Dakota. After a road trip to Indiana State on Sept. 17, the Grizzlies host Portland State on Sept. 24 to open Big Sky action.

The FCS section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook features 30 pages of content including:
