Montana State Bobcats Featured in 2022 College Football America Yearbook

Montana State Bobcats

The Montana State Bobcats are No. 3 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Top 30.

The Bobcats had a tremendous season in 2021, as they finished with a 12-3 overall record and a 7-1 record in the Big Sky Conference. The Bobcats’ only league loss last season came against Montana, but it didn’t prevent them from making the playoffs.

Montana State made an incredible run to the national championship game in Frisco, Texas, beating both of the participants in the 2020 title game along the way — Sam Houston and South Dakota State. But, the Bobcats fell to North Dakota State, 38-10, in the national championship game.

The Bobcats open the season with two straight games at home — McNeese State on Sept. 3 and Morehead State on Sept. 10. Afterward, the Bobcats head to face the Pac-12’s Oregon State on Sept. 17. Montana State opens Big Sky play on Sept. 24 against traditional power Eastern Washington.
