Three Northwestern (IA) players, including wide receiver Cade Moser, are part of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s NAIA Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.
Just as importantly, the Red Raiders are No. 4 in the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s NAIA Preseason Top 30. The Red Raiders are the second highest-ranked Great Plains Athletic Conference program in the CFA preseason Top 30.
Along with Moser, Red Raiders linebacker Parker Fryar and defensive back Noah Van’t Hof made the team. Moser was an Associated Press First-Team All-American, while Van’t Hof was an AP Second-Team All-American. Fryar led the Red Raiders with 109 tackles and was an AP honorable mention All-American.
Northwestern went 12-2 overall and 9-1 in GPAC action. The Red Raiders reached the NAIA semifinals before losing to eventual champion, and GPAC rival, Morningside, 28-19.
The Red Raiders on Sept. 3 with a road game against Morningside in a rematch of last year’s national semifinal.
