South Dakota State Jackrabbits Featured in 2022 College Football America Yearbook

South Dakota State Jackrabbits wide receiver Jaxon Janke is on the 2022 College Football America Yearbook’s FCS Preseason Starting Lineup, the book’s version of a preseason All-America team.

The Jackrabbits are also No. 2 in the 2022 FCS Preseason Top 30.

The Jackrabbits went 11-4 in 2021 and were attempting to return to the FCS National Championship Game, where they lost to Sam Houston State for the 2020 title (played in May of 2021). But, the Jackrabbits fell just short, losing to Montana State, 31-17, in the national semifinals.

Janke led SDSU for the second season in a row in receptions (72) and receiving yards (1,165). He was an All-Missouri Valley Football Conference selection and a HERO Sports Sophomore All-American.

The Jackrabbits open the season at Big Ten power Iowa on Sept. 3, followed by home games with UC Davis on Sept. 10 and Butler on Sept. 17. The Jackrabbits open MVFC action on the road on Sept. 24 at Missouri State.

The FCS section of the 2022 College Football America Yearbook features 30 pages of content including:
